Sara Alice Walters

Mrs. Sara Alice Walters, age 80, of Jonesboro, passed away, January 23, 2010. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. She was retired from the State of Georgia. She is survived by her son and daughter in law; Terry and Phyllis Walters, daughter; Lynn Walters Tew, brother and sister in law; Freddy and Cathy Puckett, sister; Betty Puckett, grandchildren; Cheryl Tew, Leslie Poore and spouse Adam, and great grandchild; Emily Poore. Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 11AM at First Baptist Church of Jonesboro Chapel. Mrs. Walters will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Rev. Irvin Pearre will officiate. Interment Camp Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 25, 2010 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
